Birdies & Bogeys Race to Shangri-La
We are extremely excited to announce the first annual Birdies & Bogeys Race to Shangri-La.
Join ex-tour player and founder of Birdies and Bogeys Golf Gear, Martin Maritz on the mission of creating playing opportunities for our aspiring golf pros in Oklahoma. Our state is well known for some great courses, playing talent and a rich golf history. Let’s golf with a purpose and help the next generation of golfers elevate their game and reach for the stars!
Dates are locked in for the weekend at the beautiful Shangri-La Resort at Grand Lake for October 15/16. We are positive that this event will become one of the marquee golf events in Oklahoma, not to be missed as we grow the event, and get the word out!

The nuts and bolts about The Race to Shangri-La:
Format:
- Individual stableford points system (Double Eagle=5, Eagle =4, Birdie =3, Par =2, Bogey = 1, Double Bogey =0)
- There will be an option for competing in the One-day event on Saturday, October 15th or Stay the night and do 2 days of tournament play.
- Tournament is open to both men and ladies. Men and ladies over 55 will play forward tees and ladies will play ladies tees as designated by the home course..

OCTOBER 15,16 THE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP @ SHANGRI-LA
- Saturday tee times will start at 1 pm (Awards around 6 pm)
- Sunday tee times will start at 9 am (For the 2-day participants) Awards around 2 pm.
- All proceeds from the entries will go towards the Tour Championship prize fund for the professionals and creating playing opportunities for our local Oklahoma pros!
