Shangri-La Resort is located at the tip of Monkey Island in the center of northeastern Oklahoma's beautiful Grand Lake O' the Cherokees. All facilities are accessible by land, water, and air, with nearby options including the Grand Lake Regional Airport on Monkey Island with its 3,925-foot runway and the Grove Municipal Airport with a 5,250-foot runway, just a short car ride away. Shuttle service is available to local airports, and transportation arrangements to and from the regional airports can be made. Commercial air travelers can utilize either Tulsa International Airport (TUL), Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA), or Joplin Regional Airport (JLN), all of which are slightly more than an hour's drive.
