Cherokee Grove Casino is only 10 minutes from Shangri-La Resort, north of Grove at Highway 59 and East 250 road. This beautiful 39,000-square-foot casino offers 400 electronic games, a full-service restaurant, and a bar, with live entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights.

From Tulsa to Miami

Traveling to Shangri-La Resort from Tulsa is a perfect opportunity to take the Mother Road and check out the sites.

See the famous “Blue Whale” in Claremore. Make your way to Chelsea, Ok to see the famous Totem Pole Park, near the towns of Foyil and Chelsea. Stop at the Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, and Clanton’s Café in Vinita serving diner food since the 1920s. and head east to Monkey Island just 30 minutes from Vinita.

From Missouri & Kansas

If you are traveling from Missouri or Kansas to Shangri-La Resort, take a break in Miami Oklahoma just 30 minutes from Monkey Island, and do some Route 66 site-seeing at the Coleman Theatre (103 N. Main) with an architectural style that resembles the Spanish missions. Stop for lunch at Waylen’s Kuku Classic burger joint, and don’t forget to stop at the Dairy King in Commerce, Oklahoma for an Instagram-worthy selfie.

The City of Grove

Just 20 Minutes from the Resort, Grove is a lakeside town offering restaurants, a downtown area, grocery stores, Walmart, Gas Stations, Hotels, and noted area attractions.

Lendonwood Gardens

Lendonwood features eight distinct gardens, each with a theme and atmosphere all its own. They include 25 varieties of dogwoods, 75 varieties of Japanese maples, 125 varieties of hostas, 200 varieties of conifers, and 25 varieties of viburnums. With more than 500 varieties of daylilies, Lendonwood has been designated a display garden for the American Hemerocallis (daylily) Society. The Garden is open year-round during daylight hours.
